Mexican Style Refried Beans

From Teresa Breinholt!

Ingredients
1 pound of beans (black, pinto, or maya beans, known as peruan)
1 clove of garlic
1 medium onion
2 small serranos chilis
2 strips of bacon (optional)
2 TBLS oil

Preparation
Cook the beans in a medium crockpot with plenty of water. Add a clove of garlic and salt to taste. After the beans have boiled for 30 minutes, add a quarter of the medium onion chopped.

After the beans have cooked (4 hours), add in a large frying pan: bacon, cooking oil, 1 or 2 serranos chilis, and 1 or 2 slices of onion. Mix all this in the pan to add flavor to the oil.

Put beans into the blender and mix to desired consistency.

Note: You could add bacon, chili and onion to the beans in the blender for a more bold flavor.

Add the beans and fry in the pan with the flavored oil.

Yum, Yum, Yum, Delicioso!!!
